Our friends from Upcycle Parts Shop arrived at Fairview Park carrying yards of old vinyl banners that had served their purposes and were ready for new life. By the end of the evening, a team of artists transformed the reused material into a burst of vibrant flowers, covering a portion of the chain link fence around Kentucky Gardens. Several artists were even spotted sporting vinyl bow ties, hair bows, and brooches! While we were busy crafting, volunteers from the Near West Family Network dipped out over 100 scoops Mitchell's ice cream. The line was long, but the chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream was well worth the wait! Don't forget to come out next week for tie-dye with our friends from Art House. Shirts will be provided, but feel free to bring something of your own to dye as well!
