Tonight was the last of the 2015 Summer Ice Cream Socials at Fairview Park, and boy did we go out with a bang! We were treated to ice cream graciously provided by Mason's Creamery, and our friends from Upcycle Parts Shop came back with an old favorite craft: recycled vinyl flowers! In addition to the crafts and ice cream, cellist Carlyn Kessler and violist Kimia Ghaderi's lovely string duet added the final touch to the evening. We tied flowers to the Kentucky Garden fence as the sun went down, all the while listening to the sweet tune of Bach and Gershwin. It couldn't have been a more delightful evening! Carlyn and Kimia were especially a hit with our younger crowd... ... and there were plenty of helpers to make flowers for the fence. The fence has come a long way since last year, but there's still plenty of empty space for the years to come!
