But we held it down and had fun, to boot!Or to kick, as it were: kickball, obstacle courses and plenty of bubbles graced the playing field behind the Saint Luke's campus. We were joined by our friends from the Boys and Girls Club, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, the Cleveland Police Foundation, the Buckeye Shaker Square Development Corporation, the Centers for Families and Children, and Harvey Rice Elementary School. Under a canopy of trees, face painters, balloon twisters and artists' stations gave kids a place to get crafty. There was plenty going on, but that didn't stop us from giving people a chance to tell us what else they'd like to see happen! Stickers, markers and a neighborhood blank canvas were all we needed to get off and running, envisioning everything from kite-making and cooking to unicorn ballets! We'll post the filled-in poster soon, but until then, feel free to print out your own and draw what you see! Send it back to us and we'll put it online, plus we'll work with our partners at St Luke's to see if we can make you dream a reality! All in all, even the crazy wind couldn't blow our fun away. Between the fun, food (thanks, Captain Sulzer!) and all the families that came out, this was a day to remember . . . not that you'll have to, because we're doing it all again in two weeks!
